SolarBOS Combiner Boxes allow the system designer or installer tremendous flexibility in how they design and build the DC side of their PV System. SolarBOS offers Combiner Boxes with many integrated features and options, including Disconnect Switches, Contactors, Current Sensors, and Surge Arrestors. All of these features can be configured by the customer and the combiners assembled to order. SolarBOS offers combiners up to 36 circuits at 600 or 1000 VDC with NEMA-3, 3R, 4 and 4X enclosures.

SolarBOS is an industry leader in the ‘Balance of System’ (BOS) segment of the solar industry. Based in Livermore, CA, SolarBOS has a 24,000 square foot facility with Production, Engineering, Sales and Accounting all under one roof. This makes it easy to respond to our customers’ needs.
SolarBOS was founded in 2004 with the vision of developing cost effective and reliable BOS solutions for the PV industry. SolarBOS’ first product was a configurable 600 volt combiner box which allowed customers to specify the number of circuits and the NEMA rating of the enclosure. That was it. But no one had ever done this before with combiners.
Since then, SolarBOS has grown to become a respected name within the solar industry. SolarBOS supported 400 MW of commercial and utility-scale PV projects in 2011, and has supported nearly 1 GW worth of projects to date. Our largest projects have been in the 30-40 MW range, but our products are routinely used on smaller commercial systems too.
SolarBOS is also regarded as one of the most innovative companies in the BOS space. We were the first company to offer Disconnect Combiners, the first to offer Contactor Combiners, the first to offer String Checkers, and the first to announce a working Arc Fault Detection AND Interruption solution for PV systems.
