This system is designed to retrofit an existing grid-tied system and convert it to a grid-tied battery backup system. Battery bank sold separately.
Midnite Solar pre-wired inverter systems offer a turn key solution to installing a battery based inverter system, saving time in the field.
With a pre-wired solution all of the confusion is taken out of selecting all the right parts. Hookup between inverters done with included wire and conduit. This system uses 4 of the SMA Sunny Island inverters that are rated at 6,000 watts each and uses a 48 volt battery. It is specifically designed for AC coupling Grid Tie inverters. It works with up to 24KW of grid tie inverters. It produces 120/240 volts AC and has a single AC input. Don’t forget to look at our other products that compliment the pre-wired inverter system like our Battery Boxes or Disconnecting Combiners.
